Florist Business Name Help

Hi, I was hoping you may be able to help me figure out the perfect name for my floristry business. I can’t decide, I don’t know if I’m overthinking and it’s stalling all my plans moving forward.

I’ve been a small scale flower grower for three years but after training and finding the most wonderful retired florist mentor I’m ready to set up my own floristry side of things now. If I could just find the name!

My style is natural, wild, eco, homegrown, rustic, seasonal.

I know I definitely don’t want to use my own name, my house name or village name. Definitely no flowery puns and I need something that isn’t already taken.

My ideas so far,
Fox Garden Flowers (one of my dogs looks like a fox, flowers are grown in my garden).

Floof & Bloom (floof because I have a lot of dogs also like the double o from a typography view).

Nolia (a little random, I have a huge magnolia tree in the front garden our house is well known for it locally but the word magnolia makes me think of paint).

and that’s about all I’ve come up with, would love some ideas if you have any.

I love things like this. I’ve helped name several of my ex’s businesses. Let me have a think!

All taken unfortunately so it’d make it impossible to register the domain and any social media accounts.

I don’t think you should rule out names that have been used. You just have to have a company of millerpie trading as the blah blah. And then for socials just add your village at the end or by millerpie or something to extend and make it original. Otherwise you’ll never find anything not used in English speaking countries.

As per a PP, don't rule out generic names that aren't taken for your locality - but do check on the IPO website for potential trademarks (https://www.gov.uk/search-for-trademark) before using one that's already in use.

Unless you're going to be a sole trader, I'd recommend three names.

• One for a limited company
• One for the name on the shop
• One for the socials that incorporates where you are with the name on the shop

If you want to be really smart and you come up with a name you really love, two limited companies (they're not expensive). One owns the brand and the other does the trading.

What about a short, punchy name like Bud or Leaf?
