Hi everyone, I’m after some advice/opinions. I’m losing my job after 24 years of running this company (office only). I’m self employed, so not entitled to a penny in redundancy, which is really galling as I’m working out the rest of the company’s redundancy lol!!
I’m already a business partner of a famous brand inspired perfume company, but this does not give me anywhere enough money to live on. I’m going to offer bookkeeping/payroll services, but do not know how to go about charging? Can anyone help me? Xx

Are you sure you don't meet the criteria as either a worker or employed status?

Look at what's charged in your area. Work out your costs. Check if it's viable for you.

For reference, we're currently paying around £28/hour for bookkeeping services.

If you're already self employed in the same role, then go with what you are already being paid?

@Bluesgal1 This company you've worked for all that time - has it been your only job as a self-employed person, or have you had other clients you have worked for over the same period as well?
