You've got to market yourself constantly - LinkedIn is the platform to be on (Instagram works for some but it's really tough to build a service based business on there). And it's not just about posting about your own business, but engaging with others too. You've got to keep getting your name out.

The days vary! But you really can pick your own schedule - although that depends on what you offer to your clients!

No I don't have a mainly admin background but honestly, VAs cover lots and lots of different tasks - marketing, graphic design, technical - it's not just admin in the traditional sense.

Have a look at Catherine Gladwyn and Amanda Johnston - they're both VA coaches (and been in the business for years so know way more than me - I've followed their advice since I started!)
