Etsy fees - simpler way?

Fabpinky · 28/09/2022 11:26

when I make a sale on Etsy, to work out exactly what the fee is for that item, im having to add up all the little fees to get to work out what the overal fee is. Is there somewhere I can view just exactly what the overall fee for the sale is? Adding up every item fee is so time consuming, I can’t believe this is the easiest way

You could use an online Fee Calculator?
craftybase.com/etsy/fee-calculator

They provide an aggregate view or you can use a fee calculator

BryceQuinlanTheFirst · 28/09/2022 11:59

Do you have a large number of different priced items?

Fabpinky · 28/09/2022 12:18

@andymary the only thing with the fee calculator is that sometimes the sale is via an Etsy add so I would still have to go through all of the small fees to check for the additional fee

@BryceQuinlanTheFirst Yes a range of prices. The way I’m doing it at the moment is going to the monthly statements and looking at the breakdown of each sale. Am I missing something? (Hope so!)

Are you doing a large number of sales? I just look here

@BryceQuinlanTheFirst Yes, this month over 170, which is why I’m finding it tiring to add all the small numbers together each time to find out the exact fee for each sale, it’s not the end of the world but I just thought there might be somewhere I’m missing which would give me the exact fee for each sale.

I just keep it in a spreadsheet of the different prices then if you have ads on, you can maintain an aggregate value of what you're spending on ads per month vs sales.

Worth asking in some etsy fb groups?

Charlotte123456789 · 28/09/2022 14:37

There is an Etsy support group/forum on Etsy - might be worth asking on there. I’m still getting to grips with it so can’t help, sorry!

Thanks, I will take a look, I was just wondering if there was a glaringly obviously way I was missing or something!

I use an average in order to calculate my selling price, but I sell a lot so it is just the easiest way for me to estimate.
Why do you need to calculate each additional item? If it is for your accounts, you could use accountancy software such as QuickBooks.
