Running a business as well as working full time

Hi all
I set up a limited company in May 22. I am working on this part time as well as working full time at present.
I am interested to hear other people experiences as to how they balance running a business and working full time elsewhere?

did you then over increase after the first year? How long before you started making any profit? Thanks.

I worked part time alongside running a business full time. I left my part time job after three years when I was close enough to earning a full time income. I was working circa 70-90 hours a week at that point.
It's doable, with support at home, especially if you have children (my husband is amazing). My first year I actually made a loss, so don't expect any profit to begin with.
As it happens, nearly eleven years later, things are so dire right now I've had to get a part time job while working on my business full time again, although I don't run my business from home anymore so I work far more productively. I expect it to be a bit easier this time round. I'm maintaining full time hours on my business so I have a business to come back to because if I stop pushing forwards with it, it will be very hard to get it going again.
