Business consultancy prices - where to find them

Hi there, I really hope this is OK to post here.

Basically I’m after some insight on how much business consultants charge. Ideally small independents rather than McKinsey etc but all and any insights would be incredibly helpful!

As I say, all and any info would be amazing, project and governance contracts with independents would be a cherry on top.

The business consultants I know charge around £800 to £1000 per day. They have generally come in with expertise in one particular area of that specific industry. They also tend to be known by the business owners through networking before buying their services. Network contacts via time in the industry are popular for the company I work for as they truly understand the little quirks of the industry before they set foot in the door.

I suppose it depends exactly what expertise you are looking for. Generic business, industry specific, one off projects to set up another arm of an established business.

@Hooveslikejagger I love the name 😂 thank you for taking the time to post. Smack bang in line with my experience too, but needed a sense check if it was off or not - as you say so many aspects to it but this is a great ‘general’ view. Thanks again
