Business partner has left

Hi all - little bit of advice needed. I run a business along with my business partner and have done for the last three years. We are in the wedding industry.
Last week I was hit with the news that he's packing it in and has left the business and everything else with me - he's completely ghosted me!
I need advice now... our brand was a collective brand, suggesting there was more than one individual. Now that I'm flying solo, do I do a rebrand?! Or stay the same? I'm worried I will get lost in the mix as a solo vendor with a 'collective' brand name.
Any advice appreciated greatly.

Depends what you do. If it is a job where clients will expect two people to turn up (i.e. you are performers) then you will have to rebrand. If not, there is no point potentially losing built up reputation, time and money in order to rebrand.

Never mind branding, what are the legal consequences? Speak to your accountant and solicitor.

You need to get the legal side tied up first and foremost so they can’t come back later claiming profits for your work.
Once you have done that you can think about branding and names. If your company name is known you might be better leaving it as it is, if not maybe it’s a chance for a freshen up.
