Buying a business domain

Sorry, me with a question again but it's all new to me so looking for lots of advice! Can anyone give me an indication of how much it would be to buy a business domain please? I've seen one site where it says 99p for the first year then £11.99 a year after. I was expecting it to cost much more than that? I don't want to end up falling for a scam, or does that sound right?

I use GoDaddy, prices are low. Apparently the secret is not to do large scale web searches for your preferred domain name first. Companies that offer domains scrape this data to buy web addresses so that they can charge you more. Your domain name will appreciate in value each year as buying established web addresses can be useful for new companies trying not to look like new companies Grin

I've used 123-reg, and it was v easy to do.
The price of your domain will depend upon things like how many searches there have been for that domain. I wouldn't go for any domain that is .biz or anything, just .com or .co.uk

If the domain you want isn't available, rename your business rather than use .biz etc.

Yes it's very cheap. And then you have your website hosting fee
