So in a nutshell did a brief overview of a clients small business...for free...nothing too indepth just the bare bones but did take me a good 3 days to complete.

Client is very precious about her business and I feel she takes suggestions/improvements as critisim.

She's slated what Ive sent through...and come back with a draft of her own plan... with high, medium and low priorties eg. high priority is new name for their business, needs it quick as packaging is due a new print run also high priority is how to increase followers on social media via each platform etc. Asking me to include my input BUT wants quick fixes!!!

So am I right in saying...

I. Yes this would be stage 2 ...I can do this but there would now be a cost involved as I would be working fully and giving my input.

1. Stage 3 would incur a final cost for the areas in stage 2 that they want me to implement.

Is this sounding about right?

Think you've just answered your own question!

The problem is with people who ask for your input/advice and then not only ignore it, but go to the lengths of picking at it are usually impossible to please.

I have tried to help people who have strong ideas about what they like in the past and if they are not grateful for the input at this stage, you will likely both end up feeling dissatisfied/annoyed.

Unless you are being paid something already I would be up front about what you expect from them financially - you don't want to invest more time only not to get paid as they are not happy with your input.

Not sure what you do, so maybe totally irrelevant input from my point of view!!
