Hi, I'm looking for some advice. I am planning on opening a coffee and sandwich shop and thought I had done all the sums until now as I've started to look for a premises, everyone is asking for a premium. I just didn't factor in an extra xxxxxk for fixtures and fittings as I want all my stuff to be new to put my stamp on things.
I am wondering if I can get a retail unit rather than hospitality unit and convert to a coffee shop, has anyone ever done this and is the license relatively easy to obtain? I wouldn't be doing any proper cooking, more assembling sandwiches and making coffees etc.
