I'm considering setting up a market stall at our local market (a weekly Saturday one and a farmers market every other week twice a month) selling tasty homemade food - pies, lasagnes etc, ready to take home and freeze / or put in the oven. Also, food to buy to eat there and then - homemade sausage rolls, soup etc plus desserts.

I was looking for any advice on if people would think this could be popular and if you would like to see other items if you would shop somewhere similar.

We will be looking around all local markets to see what is popular but as we are just considering this at the moment any ideas I haven't thought of would be really welcomed

Thanks for reading ☺️

Depends who else is selling at the markets and what kind of people shop there. Certainly at a farmer's market I would expect at least one stall already doing something similar.

We were also thinking of supplying to pubs / cafes if there was an interest but thought to do the market too for people passing. And if there was a variety of produce if might go well but I suppose will know more once we scope out the current stalls

I have often thought that there is a need for non-junk takeaway - just some where you can pick up home cooked food for tea when you don’t want anything unhealthy.

I think that your idea just needs a bit refining/focusing.

I’m thinking along the same lines.

We have so many Indian and Chinese takeaways here and you can collect kebab and pizza.

I believe we are missing out on home made pasta and maybe chicken wings, start on the home made pasta delivery service and go from there although, apart from the idea...
