What to dress 10mo in baby carrier?

Any advice or tips on what to dress my 10mo in when we're out walking in new baby carrier and also how long should we be out for? We live in the country and go on lots of dog walks and it is very bracing at the moment! Many thanks

is he being worn over or under your coat? and what carrier are you using?

if under your coat , then i would dress in usual layers, plus a fleece jumper/all in one, then your coat over the top.

if over your coat, then a nice all in one which encases feet as well. the jojo maman bebe polartec ones are good, as not too bulky, but warm.

oh and go out for as long as you want to

I carry my ds aged 15 months in a forward carrying sling and he wears long sleeve vest, jumper, tights (yes tights even though he's a boy otherwise his trousers ride up and his legs get cold), furry soft leather slippers, trousers, warm coat, gloves and sometimes a hat as well as a hood. Mostly he is warm enough but I carry him under my coat so I can wrap my coat around him if necessary. It was minus 9 here a couple of weeks ago and after about an hour his feet got a bit cold.

Go out for as long as you want!

we use baby legs (baby leg warmers) because u will find that the extra layer of the carrier will overheat them in their center. so we do long sleeved vest, tshirt, jumper, coat (but undone as his chest is against my back so extra warmth there, will sweat otherwise) trousers. socks then leg warmers on top, shoes if very cold, wolly hat and gloves

oh and my youngest has done an entire afternoon out in a sling in the snow (with wolly hats and gloves of course!) so no time restraints, id say come in when YOU get cold as its a good indicator?

I use this on ds2 over normal clothes. Lovely and cosy (and damn cute with the hood up ) and very easy to take a layer off without waking him up when we get back indoors. Couldn't be without it this winter!

like others say, go out for as long as you want, baby will be warm enough cuddled up to you
