Which sling?

What timing! I was waiting until I'd had my 20 week scan to start buying things and I've had that today - came on here to ask if anyone could recommend a sling and here is a whole new topic for me to ask on!!

DS is a very active toddler and I would love to be able to continue all of his activities once DD arrives in December (he'll be 2.9) I won't be able to take the pushcair everywhere so I'm hoping I'll be able to strap her to me and take her along that way. I'm thinking this will be most handy at the soft play center and our regular walks in the park.

I'm quite petite and only 5'1" and will have probably had a 2nd c-section

Can anyone suggest a good sling?

A wrap is a lot more comfortable than a baby bjorn, and you can use it for longer. A stretchy one is good for newborns and young babies, a woven wrap for older babies (and if you find someone to show you properly, back-carrying!). Older babies do well in mai teis, which are also good for hot weather.

A wrap sounds good, they are lovely and snug and the baby's weight becomes your weight rather than something hanging off you. If it is a really chilly day you can always zip you fleece up over the wrap! A wrap is easier to use than a wilkinet (IME) as you can keep the wrap on when you pop the baby in and out.

Love the ideas on this thread. My situation is similar to OP. I'll have a C-section, and a 2 year old toddler. I have a baby bjorn but not keen on it. Loving the look of the moby wrap!

Oh and I had a premaxx for about 5 mins before selling it. HATED it!

DD is due in December so being wrapped up snug is just what we need

I think I'm swaying towards the Moby - in Moss

Another vote for Wilkinet.
