I need recommendations for the best carriers or slings from newborn I like the look of the wrap slings but want to know how secure/safe they are as obviously you tie them yourself I wouldn't want baby falling out while I'm out with them
Thankyou 😊

Get one that you can easily put baby in and out and then take off. Even if you have a wrap type sling as well, you’ll find it invaluable to be able to safely carry the baby and still have hands free to take the pram/dog/bag of shopping up the stairs to your flat.

For a newborn, I’d get a second hand stretchy sling wrap. Slings are tricky the first three times you use one, then dead simple after that. YouTube is great for learning how to tie one up. The trick is to tie it so that it’s slightly uncomfortably tight for you, then baby won’t slip down much. It’s impossible for the baby to fall out as their bottom is supported by a cross sling of wrap.

Our newborn absolutely loves it and sometimes a walk in the sling is the only way we can get her to sleep. Our local village pub is now used to us visiting wearing the baby!

Hana bamboo wraps are lovely and can be picked up on Vinted for £10 or less.
