Sun shade for baby carrier

I’m looking for a sun shade to protect my baby’s head and limbs from the sun when I go away on holiday.

With my first baby, I put a hat on him, covered him in sun cream and wrapped muslin blanket round him but it wasn’t ideal as the muslin never quite covered him or stay put. I’d have thought there would be a product that does a better job but am struggling to find one. I think baby bjorn used to do one but it seems to have been discontinued and I can’t find a second hand one.

The closest thing I’ve found is a musluv musluv.com/products/blue-berry-baby-sun-cover but it’s a bit pricey when you add on shipping from Australia (I’m in the UK).

Am I missing something? Do people just use a muslin?

Hopeful bump.

I had a large muslin - made sure there was plenty of air flow.
I also used a parasol as could change the angle as needed.

Thanks @Danikm151. Did you just use a normal buggy parasol and hold it or something else?

I like having these kind of sun shades. Protected baby from 93% UV AND gave them a darker environment to sleep. They can see through the net too

a cheaper universal one

This one blocks 99% UV

I’ve got a snoozeshade for the buggy. I didn’t think it would work with the carrier but I could try it.

Oh my god im sorry. Didn’t realise you were looking for a carrier shade. My bad.

The only thing I can think of is you carrying some form of parasol and making sure your child is in the shade at all times

You can get a snoozeshade for baby carriers from their website 😊

We used to live in SE Asia and travelled in lots of very sunny places. Generally used combo of the muslin, factor 50 (once 6 months), floppy sunhat and an umbrella to create shade
