Taking 1 year old on train- what sling/carrier is best?

I am going to start work in a couple of months, my son will be 1 by then. I will have to commute to work via the underground it’ll take in total about 50 mins including the walk to and from stations. I was just wondering what sling or carrier would be best for his age and also while travelling.

The kind of sling that works best depends on all sorts of things, including your height and body shape. Everyone seems to love Ergo carriers but I’m very tall and could never get on with them, I prefer woven wraps and Meh Dais which are fiddlier but much more adjustable and very comfortable. Woven wraps particularly are very versatile but a real faff to put on! Do you have a local sling library you could visit to try a few?

Oh ok I’m quite short and petite and baby is on the chunky side loll. I have no clue about a sling library- how would I even find out?

If you just google your area and ‘sling library’ you should be able to find out if there’s one nearby, or I think there are online ones where you get the sling posted to you. I’d recommend Ergo or Manduca for ease of use

I'm Shock that a one year old would go in a baby carrier. No chance my 1 year old would he would kick off wanting to be put down and walk around!

@returnofsaturn my 19mo still goes in the carrier, and sometimes I carry my 3.5yo niece in it. If we’re going somewhere that’s not buggy friendly it’s the only way to do it! If I let him walk we’d never get anywhere
