My DS is 6 weeks old and is quite a large, alert baby who loves kicking and waving his arms around.
I have a Close Caboo lite. If he's tired he sleeps brilliantly in it but when he wakes up he starts thrashing around and throwing his head back and forwards (he seems to have a freakishly strong neck) and trying to look around and move hs arms. I end up supporting his neck with both hands which sort of defeats the point of having him in it in the first place, and then taking him out so he can move his arms more.
Obviously at home that's fine but I'd like to go out and about with him in a sling/carrier. At the moment I can't as I'm worried he'll wake up and get distressed I'll have to take him out in the middle of the street!
Any suggestions? I thought about swapping to a regular Caboo which has a neck pad so at least his neck is more supported. I've tried the rolled up muslin trick in the Lite but the outer layer slides down. We also have an ergo omni mesh which might give his neck support and his arms more freedom but it seems a bit deep and not as cuddly for a little one. Has anyone had and resolved a similar problem? Or can suggest an alternative carrier or sling to try?
