Does anyone still carry their 3 year old?

And any recommendations? Petite - around 12 kilos. We’ve worked our way through the close caboo, ergo and have a big hiking one, but that adds a few more kilos on and can’t exactly be thrown in the change bag.

I currently use a ring sling on a hip for short carries, which we both love but I think I need to be able to put her on my back now - is a connecta my best option? Unfortunately getting to a sling library isn’t really a feasible option, but would love to hear from other people that wear their older toddlers.

I carried my hefty ds until he was 4 - my favourite sling was a wrap converision hybrid mei tai. It had a buckle waist and then extra long wide straps. Mine was a dreamcarrier

I carried both boys til quite old. Ds2 in particular still had a use for a carrier on long days out til he was easily 3.5. the best fit for me was a Tula Toddler because it has a very nice wide long body. I tried half a dozen before settling though.

I'm pretty sure one of the Beco slings
?gemini? Has a narrowish body if that's any help.
