Recommendations of hiking baby carriers?

I've been slinging since the start with my DD and love it. However I find that sling+rucksack (as change bag) doesn't work anymore. She's nearly 6 months so I'm looking to get a hiking style carrier. Any recommendations? The Osprey Poco Plus looked cool but pricey! Anyone got one? Worth the money?

We have a macpac vamoose, I think it is. It's amazing. Super comfy, and with storage underneath. We've done many a mountain with our little ones in it!

We have the Littlelife one. Think it might be called voyager? It has loads of pockets plus a detachable rucksack, very adjustable and raincover and sunshade available separately.

MacPac, which everyone had enough storage for you. DH used to work in an outdoor shop, it's what they recommended to everyone who came in, complaining either about their backs or their baby's comfort in their existing carrier. They never had any complaints or returns. They did a bit of a trial for a few weeks at Chatsworth House, of baby carriers for visitors to use around the house where they couldn't use pushchairs. The MacPacs won the popularity vote, and Chatsworth ordered a "Fleet" of them.

Obviously, we got one when we had Dc. Very comfortable!

Whilst I'm here... can I cheekily ask about bike trailers? Anyone got any recommendations? I like the idea of one which I could bike into town and then push around town without having to wake her. Does such a thing exist without requiring a mortgage?!

With trailers, we had a cheap Halfords job, which lasted about 5 mins, so we got a second hand Burley from eBay, which did our 2 for another 5 years, then we handed it on to another family a couple of years ago. Still going strong!

It's worth looking at second hand back carriers, as a lot of them are barely used - we paid £25 for a LittleLife one that would have cost £150 new. (not sure of model, it's in the loft and they've changed their range!) There was one scratch on it, but otherwise immaculate. We were going to get a cheap new one, but a good secondhand one was a much better choice.

Ours has an adjustable back, so both DH and I can wear it comfortably - indeed it's been the only thing I've ever been able to carry DD in comfortably (scoliosis made slings agony).

We have the osprey & it is really good. The extendable back & waterproof sturdy hood. Quite comfy. Good pockets & stability. The feet hooks seem pointless!

I never managed with framed carriers so I didn't carry my first. With my second, I discovered SSC and in particular Rose and Rebellion. I backpacked her most days until she was 5 in the various sizes of the R and R.
