Sling or carrier for travel / walks

Hi, I'd really appreciate some sling / carrier recommendations. My baby's 8 months and I'd like to get something we can use now and when he's a toddler too.
It needs to be something light / small enough to fit in a suitcase and travel with. We're off to Hong Kong in a few weeks and I want to use it there. We have one of those massive rucksack carrier things but I hate it and he looks tiny and vulnerable in there.
Ideally I'd love something comfy enough for him to doze off in for naps, so we can go for long walks.
Something I can wear on my back would be good so he can look around and I can see my feet!
We have a Baby Bjorn which has been fine but I'm short and now his legs are hanging down further in front of me I'm struggling when climbing steps etc. is involved.
Something easy to use would be good. I tried a Moby when he was tiny but he hated it and I found it a faff.

A Connecta should fit most of your requirements - folds up v small, and can be used for back carries. V comfy too! We hired one from a local sling library for our holiday when DD was 4mo

Try an ergo. Its all buckles, can be used on the back our the front if you're on and off public transport and ds is still in it comfortably as a toddler.

Boba Air is really light and packs up tiny, can be used front or back. Connecta has a solarweave variant for hot weather as well as the standard Integra version. They are the most light weight I can think of. Ergo is a lot bulkier, but they do have a new travel version as well as the Sport and Performance variants.
