How do you protect babies from the sun in their slings?

Is it just a case of slathering on sunblock? Dd is 3 months and I carry her in a moby (have just ordered a hana baba in the hope of being cooler!) Her legs always end up sticking out and obviously her head does too. She has a hat on and factor 50 on her legs/feet but I'm still paranoid...is this enough? I'm obviously not going for long hikes with no shade but I'm worried about even short walks in this sun.

Parasols are good for baby wearing

Carry a parasol. Or just walk in the shade. It's a compromise tbh, if I put DS in his pram (shady, sun canopy up etc) he screams & won't sleep, if I sling him I worry about sunburn...

When it's been really hot I just tried to plan my day so I wasn't doing a long walk at 12-2 or similar, and slather suncream on the rest of time. So far he's been fine (nearly 6 months).

I was thinking that (although if one hand is holding a parasol I might as well be pushing the pram!) but where does one get a parasol from?

Big hat, stay in shade where possible and tuck muslin round legs etc.

I used to put DD in leggings and long sleeved t-shirts or baby grows.

A hat and muslin.
And keep out of the sun!

I love my parasol. It was a present but I'd try online.

Leg warmers are good as you can put them on and off as required. I have some cotton ones which aren't too warm. And a hat with a wide brim to shade face and neck.

I walk several hours a day with DD and don't use suncream on her (not recommended before 6 months though it's obviously better than burning so I would use it if needed). She has never come close to burning as clothes and shade are pretty effective.
