Mei tai for larger lady - but not larger price!

Hi, I'm looking to get a Mei Tai as a baby gift for my sister as I had one for my two children and loved it to pieces (and shrunk it in the tumble dryer :( ). My sister is around a size 16/18, so I guess right after baby she will be over a size 20 if my own personal waist size etc after children is anything to go by, and I know it doesn't pop back very quickly. Her husband is much larger in every way so I'd also like it to fit him (I think he's over 6ft and almost a 50 inch waist) - would a normal mei tai fit them? Or do I need to buy one with extra long straps? I saw one advertised but it was just under £70, and I was aiming to pay no more than £50 (I bought my own for £15 so I'm a very budget buyer).

Have you got FB at all? Slings and things FSOT might be a really good place to ask

Oh and does it have to be a MT? A stretchy wrap would be good for the first few months, or have you considered a ring sling?

She lives in South America so I thought that a stretchy wrap would be too hot for her and I'm not a fan of ring slings, but thank you for the FB group info, I will ask there.
