Victoria sling lady wraps, opinions?

I'm looking into a sling for DC2 and whilst I'd prefer a SSC I just can't justify the cost Invar it didn't get used much.

We don't have a library/meet anywhere nearby so trying before buying is out.

Adopted the VSL wraps on Ebay and they seem well made and don't look too tricky to tie but the price tells me they may be to good to be true.

Anyone had one, got Abby views on then or recommend another kind on a budget?

I've bought a couple of the wrap style one lightweight stretch one and a firmer one which i still use ds is 11 months. My inequality complaint is that i should have washed the firm one before i used it. It wasn't colourfast so every time he drooled on it he ended up wearing pink. (was a red wrap.

If they're stretchy wraps they're really not expensive to make, so I wouldn't let the price put you off. Woven wraps are more expensive to make so I'm not sure - but have heard good things about the VSL.

I have a stretchy one and its great! You will get the hang of tying it quickly, and they are such bargains.

I have a VSL stretchy and smith firm, both are great! I think if you want a wrap that does the job VSL is great. The pricier wraps are more costly bc you're paying for an expensive fabric not necessarily bcthey're any better to wrap with, IMO.

I've just ordered a stretchy one, a couple of people recommended it for young babies. I liked the idea that you could wrap it around you first and then place the baby inside.

I've got a basic one (preloved) and we love it! The consultant running my local sling meet and library is deeply sceptical of her claims of being safe beyond 6m though so i have 24 1/2 weeks to plan my next purchase :o

In 10 days, the wrap has been used 6 times and the buggy twice...

I've purchased a Smith-firm from Ebay pre-owned but unused for £12 so not too much of a waste if I don't get on with it.

Baby isn't due until March but I want to make sure I've mastered the whole tying thing before then so hey I have plenty of time :o

Although I have since seen that they are harder to use so am a bit scared again lol
