I've got a connecta. It's brilliant! Do you have a sling library near you where you could go and try some different buckle carriers?

no idea, tbh! Grin

but not practical during school holidays - dd1 has severe ASD, and I have no-one who could stay at home with her/couldn't take her along...

I tend to research lots, and have so far (touch wood) managed to only get ones which suit.

will look up the connecta, thanks Smile

My local sling library is the north east sling library - there are 4 cobbctas in it and she does postal loans anywhere in the country if you want to try! There is a list of all the buckle carriers on the website - you can just email Rachel with what you want to try. It's £5 for 2 weeks.

my sister has one - front-facing outward position for bigger baby (7mo) really uncomfortable - baby bends forwards.

rear carry position much much better.

i'll be sticking with cheaper solutions personally :)

It does look a tad faffy to my eyes, have you looked at an ergo, boba 3G, Tula, beco gemini and butterfly. Some of these need a newborn insert, others have it built in. They're all SSC and are very easy to use.
