Confused about upright newborn hold in Sleepy Wrap

After reading some of the threads on here I got myself a 2nd hand Sleepy Wrap for my 5 week old DS ( bright pink, poor sod! ) I've tried it on a couple of times in the house, the first time he loved it and fell asleep, 2nd time screamed like mad. I followed the instructions for the upright newborn hold, with legs in, but am a bit confused - is baby supposed to be facing you, ie tummy to tummy or sideways on? Can't really tell from the instructions and tried looking at videos on YouTube but they all show different ways!

I think the first time I tried, when DS was happiest he was side on but his head didn't feel secure. Am also not sure what to do with his legs! Has anyone used one of these for a newborn and if so do you have any tips? DS gets colicky so want to use the sling in the house for that as well as outside when walking the dog. Or a link to a good 'how to' video? Thanks!

It's ok, I read the instructions again and found a better video on YouTube. I was getting confused between the two different newborn holds ( upright newborn and hammock ), think I've got it sorted now!
