Can anyone recommend a structured carrier with a high seat for back carries?

(IF that makes sense!)

Have ordered an Ergo to try but lots of people have said that their babies can't see over their shoulder. I have a Mei Tai and a woven wrap that I had for ds2 but have a neck injury and struggle now with high back carries, so I need something with more structure around the waist (also find woven wrap too fiddly to use when getting out of the car - ends trailing in puddles etc) Ds3 is 4months and very long so gets in the way a bit on my front.

Was looking at the Beco but can't see that the seat would be any higher on the back. Am I just stuck with this until he gets bigger?

I carry my DS on my back in a connecta here and it works well.

I think you need something with a less structured waist - most ssc waists are designed to fit on the hips. But I'd say more structure than a connecta or else it might not be structured enough for your needs.

So a buckle carrier with mei-tai style padding in the waist....something like the Wompat maybe?

TBH it is easiest to do a high back carry in a wrap at that age, but I'm guessing you know that

OMG pootlebug, I just checked out the wompat and it looks gorgeous! I may have to sell something to get hold of one though!!
