I have found them on ebay and the carriers look gorgeous and very affordable. But coming to the and of maternity leave I dent have cash to spare on anything that doesn't do the job so I was wondering if anyone had used one and would recommend them.

thanks

I've been thinking about these too. I did a bit of googling and they do seem to be well reviewed by other buyers (which isn't true of all the cheap MTs on eBay as Loopy illustrates so well!). The eBay reviews seem good too.

I'm about 90% convinced to try one. Will post on here if I do and let you know how it turns out. I've used quite a few different slings, wraps, MTs and SSCs so have a good basis for comparison.

Hi everyone, thanks for replying Smile

I think I may just go for it. I don't use slings as often as many do, I tend to use them just for getting housework done or as a break from the buggy/trolly seat when going shopping.

If it seems ok I will then progress to using it for walking the dog.

How would I know about the dye being safe though Loopsy? What should I be asking seller/looking for?

i have one it is fab. well made happy with fabric stiching etc. i carry my 13 kg 26month old in it every day. have reccomended to all my friends at quality is consistent. no idea how she does it at that price but they better quality than my other £50 mei tai.

5madthings · 01/05/2012 18:34

i have one, or rather did, i have passed it onto my sister to use with her baby and i was very happy with it, i did wonder as it was a good price if the quality would be ok but it was fine and i am a sling addict and have had MANY slings over the years and i was happy with the quality :)

I just bought one of these from eBay to use with my 3yo and it's fab, especially at the price. It's well padded in the right places, the material is sturdy but light enough to roll up small in a bag and the stitching seems strong. I definitely get on better with it than the Ergo Sport that other taller family members use. Very quick delivery too.

Hi all, reporting back with my review...

I LOVE IT!!!!! Grin

I have had this mei tai for about a week and a half. In that time I have used it with my (big) 8 month old for front and back carries and with my tall but slim 2 1/2 year old nephew for back carries. They are both really happy and comfortable in it

The material is strong but soft enough not to cause discomfort. The whole thing seems very well made. I love the pattern. And it washes really well, no colour run or shrinkage and dries quickly.

It was shipped really quickly and I would absolutely buy from the company again.

Most of all I can't get over how inexpensive it was.

the only thing that might be useful that it doesn't have is a sleep hood, but that is a very minor 'wish'

Thanks everyone for helping me decide to buy it Grin
