Do all Mei Tais spread babies legs very wide?

I've just bought a Kozy MT and I think perhaps my 5 month DD is not quite comfy in it. There seems to be quite a bit of fabric between her legs and she tends to strain/protest unless I'm moving around. (she's not like this in the Moby).

Is it just this particular MT? Or do you think I should try her in a different hold?? Currently doing the front hold.

Her legs aren't so wide in the Moby btw.

You should be able to cinch the body a bit, but her legs should be quite wide and supported knee to knee anyway. A back carry is unlikely to be any better.

It is knee-to-knee, but then there's a little extra fabric too. She's got quite pudgy legs so maybe she's a bit squashed?

Where would you cinch?

You can cinch the body panel in by tying a ribbon around it to narrow it slightly.

Check that her bum is lower than her knees, so that you really pull her knees up high so that bum and legs make a kind of 'M' shape....they can seem too narrow if they're not well seated into it.
