I will go to my sling library but if I was to accidentally slip and buy another sling that would compliment my connecta what should I get?

My DD is 7 months and I haven't attempted back carries yet so that might be a consideration.

See now I am doing nursery pick up sling is much better than a buggy and I obviously need two.... Ok I just want a new one.

What sort of thing do you think you'd like? Different buckle carrier? Woven wrap? Ring Sling? Mei tai? I would pop along to your sling library and get some ideas before you take the plunge, I think.

There's no reason you can't back carry a 7 month old in a Connecta. If you are very nervous, have a look at the Beco Butterfly II - it has a built in harness that makes back carries really easy. That said it's a bit of a love it or hate it thing - some people love how easy it is, some people find the extra built in harness a faff if they are already happy getting a baby on their back.

I love woven wraps. But there is a bit more of a learning curve than a buckle carrier - depends whether they appeal to you or not.

I don't want to get rid of the connecta just have another option. Like the buckles.

Maybe something which I can hip carry now she's bigger.

I like ring slings for hip carries. My favourites are either those made from woven wraps (Neobulle, Didymos, Storchenwiege, Natibaby, Oscha, Girasol etc) or Sakura Bloom (stupidly expensive new but better prices 2nd hand)

They look very simple but there is very much a knack to getting them comfy....someone at your local sling library should be able to help.

Cool. Not sure if I will make sling library next week but will try to go soon and have a look. The lady who runs the sling library is a total addict so should have a good idea.

I love my Connecta and also my Scootababy. Its a buckle sling specifically for hip carries. Really easy to get my 12 month old in and out of and leaves one arm entirely free. Also great for showing him the world while still giving him a hug! Google or try one out, I really love mine.
