Is carrying toddler in Ergo when pregnant safe?

DD is 18m.o. and I am 4mths pregnant. I've carried her a few times already, the band fits below my tum, it doesnt feel like there's any direct strain on my tummy as ergo spreads the weight round my body. I can't carry her more than 20 mins as it's tiring, but this is enough time to get her to nap! I just wonder if I'm doing the right thing, I'd hate to think I'm putting my baby at risk..

I can only speak through personal experience but I carried dd at the same age while pregnant with ds1 in a combination on an ergo and mei tai sling. I did it until I was no longer comfortable which was fairly big. I would say as long as you are comfortable and don't feel any pain or strain you should be fine.

I agree with the previous poster - if it is comfortable, then it should be fine. Usually your body is good at telling you what not to do when pregnant.

I carried my elder one on my back in a woven wrap daily until the day I went into labour with my second. This time around I still carry my nearly 4 year old and 2 year old on my back, albeit not as often.
