How to dress 2mo baby in carrier?

Hi there. I've got a Beco Gemini carrier which both me and my 2mo DD love. But as the weather is getting colder I'm getting more and more nervous about how to dress her to take her out in it. Until now we could get away with a long-sleeved body, a sleepsuit, a light cardigan and then wrapping her in my coat. But that doesn't seem enough now. I put some booties on her feet for extra warmth but it feels like she needs more. How do you all dress your babies in the autumn/winter when they are in a sling/carrier?

Thick-ish adult or older child socks on top of legs (so you can pull them right up to their thighs) work quite well to keep legs warm.

I normally carry little ones in wraps, so I can get away with them wearing less as they are covered with more layers of fabric than they would be in the Gemini. But if it's really chilly then maybe a snuggle suit / pram suit thing of some sort - I think you just need to find one that isn't too thick since they still get some body heat from you, and they need to be flexible enough to still fit in the sling properly. One that is as easy to undo as possible so that if you go inside you can get her out without waking her up.

Thanks! I guess that was the problem I was envisaging: having to undo pramsuit where we are indoors, which would be really quite tricky. I've seen people with Baby Bjorns leaving their LOs wearing pramsuits indoors but the Gemini is quite padded and it would make her too hot, I think.

Great tip about the socks!

These things are also pretty good www.slingsandbabycarriers.co.uk/Sling-Accessories(2237167).htm

They cover the baby (all the way over feet too) and keep you warm where your coat is undone
