What should DS wear in a wrap sling?

I'm getting on really well with a wrap sling with my DS who is 6 weeks. I'm wondering how many layers he should be wearing when we go outside. He always feels very cosy, but I worry he might get a bit chilly outside. Any tips would be great.

How thick is your wrap (or what is it). They vary quite a bit - e.g. a Moby is much thicker than a Kari Me, and wovens vary considerably in thickness.

Put extra layers on anything that sticks out (e.g. feet). Try reaching down the back of his neck to feel temperature....if he feels sweaty, probably too hot, but if he feels nicely warm but not too hot it sounds fine.

Thanks, it is like a Moby (I just bought a length of jersey fabric).
I was out today with him in just a vest and sleepsuit with a hat and it seemed ok.

just check on him from time to time, if he feels nice and warm - perfect... sweaty - layer off, chilly - layer on...

if what you have is the same length as a moby he will stay pretty snuggly, its hats and something over feet really :)

If I know we are going to be mostly indoors (supermarket etc) I don't bother with a coat or hat. If we are going out and it's a bit chilly I have a fleece lined cardigan which ds wears and baby leg warmers to stop the wind going up his trouser legs.

When I was carring dd in a moby wrap I found a big cardigan or jacket that would go round both of us very usefull. It makes it very easy to ajust to going indoors/outdoors with out having to remove dc from the wrap. You can get specialy designed babywearing cloths, but I just used cardigans from when I was pregnant and one of dh jackets.
Only problem is it is not a particularly flatering look, but I did enjoy unzipping my jacket to reviel dd after being asked when is it due!
