Breastfeeding in slings- anyone manage it?

I have a baby bjorn and a Kari me, both given to me second hand. My three month old likes the bjorn, but I can't see any way of feeding him in there - has anyone managed it?
He squeals whenever I've put him in the Kari me so ive never taken him out in it (I also feel my 5ft2 frame is swamped by all the fabric). But wondering If he'd be able to feed in it.
Has anyone managed that? Any advice on how to feed in it?
And are there better slings for feeding? These cost us nothing so don't mind buying one.

I've only ever managed it in a ringsling at first it was difficult but now at six months its a simple trick. A really handy one at that.

Forgot to add, I know they say you can feed in karime but have been put off by his squeals from trying. I also have big boobs, so have to hold my breast in position for him when feeding lying down or sitting up. Maybe sling feeding is not going to work for me?

OOP, yes I think my giant boobs made it harder. Am ak cup. The ring sling seems to hold everything in place.

Which ring sling did you get? I'm not very crafty so would have to buy one rather than make one. And did you latch the baby on while on the go or sit down and do it first? Have been watching YouTube videos but don't know if I'll be able to do it. Perhaps it will be easier as he gets older?

Whoops. We keep cross posting. I bought two on eBay. At first it was a sit down and juggle job and my boobs were hanging over the top. It really is a practice thing I'm afraid. Now its a natural thing to just feed her on the go.

Yes we do. Thanks though, have had enough of being tied to the sofa and needed some encouragement to try again. Big boobs are a pain but at least he's never hungry!

Just a quick update. Baby happily fed in ring sling today! Took a few tries to line him up then we were away. He seemed a bit shocked but took to it much better than karime. thanks for the advice.

This is very encouraging I've made a ring sling in the hope that I'll be able to BF with my HH norks DS2 who is due any day now. I was beginning to doubt it, but feel much better after reading this.
Any other tips/hints/youtube recommendations?

I wouldn't have been able to do it when he was younger, but now he's older he can hold his own head and upper body up - so it was a lot easier to get him into position. So my only advice is keep trying if it doesn't work when you the baby is small. Congratulations on your baby by the way!!

I was going to ask this for DC2. Didn't try with DC1 but may come in handy whilst trying to look after DC1 & feeding. Also out & about as I hated feeding DS when out due to large boobs needing all sorts of fiddling to get right position (G before preg, can't remember what they were with DS - think I have blocked it out!).

You can breastfeed in the ergo, but not sure about with the infant insert, have only done it after 4 months.
