'Poppable' carrier for tall, broad shouldered DH to use with 1mo DS?

I'm converting DH to babywearing (we mastered cloth nappies, this is step 2).

We have a stretchy wrap that I love but isn't long enough for him to do the pocket cross carry at the front and I think he's scared by the length of fabric and a ring sling neither of us can get to grips with and is too small for him.

So we need a new one!

I envisage this being 'for DH' so it fitting me would be nice but not essential.

DH is 6ft6, rugby player build
Relatively foolproof
Simple to pop baby in and out - minimal tightening/readjusting once on the adult
Usable in hot and humid climate
Ideally something simple to get on and off as well

No chance of getting to try things or going to a slingmeet unfortunately :( What would you recommend?

It's a shame the stretchy hasn't worked out, as that's probably what I would have recommended.

For something foolproof and simple to put on, I'd probably say a SSC (Soft structured carrier). But I don't know off the top of my head which would be suitable for such a big guy.

I'd say I'd ask on Natural Mamas (the UK Babywearing & Natural Parenting forum) for you...but it sounds like it might be right up your street anyway, so maybe hop over there and ask for some advice?

It's a great forum regardless, but I'm sure there will be mamas on there with broad DH's who've worked out what's best and can pass on their wisdom.
