I struggled with this too. I loosen the strap completely before putting the carrier on and then it's easier to reach. I tighten it up once it's fastened. I then struggle to undo it again when I want to take it off so usually end up completely loosening an arm strap and doing it that way. It does get easier with practice, but i've often found myself wondering if the designer was exceptionally flexible.

Have always found it fairly easy but maybe because it is actually the only part of me that has ever been flexible! I don't think there is another way unfortunately.

You can move the strap up until you can reach them. Can you put your hand on your lower neck? That is where the straps should be, not down your back or not between the shoulder blades (I can reach there so that is where mine are but I am very flexible).

Agree with loosen the strap as much as possible first and then tighten it as much as you can by pulling the straps down and forward.
It is tricky but you get used to it quite quickly. I assume you haven't started trying to put it on your back yet! That's a whole new ball game!

I disagree jenny, If you need to do that your carrier is probably not adjusted properly.
The horizontal back strap slides onto the shoulder straps, you have to adjust it until you can reach the back strap (make sure you get both side at the same height).
It is very easy to put on and of, I have never have to loosen anything, or move anything after the initial adjustment.

LeMousquetaireAnonyme ....thankyou thankyou thankyou!...I had the strap over my sholderblades and didnt realize that the height of the strap could be altered....changed it to nearer my neck and it works a treat...thankyou again...only wished id asked this question earlier rather than struggled with it !
