6 month old falling out of Coorie

I usually carry DD2 aged 6 months in a baby patapum on my front. I bought a Coorie second hand as I liked the idea of something small for chucking in the change bag if DD1 needs the pushchair for a bit and for quick jobs around the house.

DD2 is nice and snug at the bottom of the sling, but unless I hold her is in danger of falling out of top of the sling. She does have a habit of leaning out for a nosy. I have to hold her in which seems a bit pointless. Am I missing something here?

How is she positioned in the pouch? - facing in? out? on your hip?

Is the pouch definitely the right size?

I have her facing in on the front and I've tried on my hip as well. The Coorie is snug around the bottom, the top seems too big though. I don't know whether to keep it until she's bigger just to take some of her weight, or just sell it on.

Sounds like it's the wrong size to me. I'd sell it on, and maybe get a ringsling so you can adjust it around her.

Steer clear of anything padded, just a fabric sling like a Maya Wrap or Storchenwiege Ringsling maybe?

I don't think it's the wrong size. If it was smaller I wouldn't be able to get it on. Maybe I'm the wrong shape!

I've been thinking about a ring sling as I guess it would be more adjustable. Will look out for something pre-loved.

Ha ha, maybe!

Natural Mamas is a great babywearing forum, and has an active For Sale board...be worth a look there for a Ringsling.
