Alcohol free spirits

Can anyone explain how and why for example alcohol free gin at 12cal/100ml be 3 syns for 25ml please? It’s 3 calories per measure?

its not. A 50 mil measure - a double is 1/2 Syn

I think the zero captain Morgans is 0 syns

Some of the alcohol free wines are still pretty high value. - 3 syns or more - because of the volume - a lot of sugar intake

An ordinary spirit is 3 syns for a 25ml measure ( English pub measure ) which is why, those in meetings will suggest dumping wine and beers/larger and cider for a spirit - you can still have a decent drink at the weekend and not panic that syns are being used

Im a drinker, my syns do go on alcohol. I gave up the wine and cider and stick to spirits and lost the weight without feeling deprived . Which is why when I go on holiday I will get a gain, because I will drink red wine and lager , keeping to my normal eating patterns - which are syn free meals

God knows what I did, but I’m thrilled regardless. I have been a very heavy drinker and doing swimming world is what’s helping me stop that!

No doubt when I go away with the girls in a months time, I might have a gain but I’ll try for a sts!!

I've just discovered the 0% gin and a double with an Aldi blue can of tonic ( fevertree dupe?) is 1 syn. Ice and a slice and you're good to go!
