Sugar withdrawal

I’m doing SW at the moment and am trying not to ‘waste’ my Syns on chocolate and other sugary treats.
Despite losing weight over the last few weeks I’ve been feeling really down and I suspect it could be sugar withdrawal, as I’ve read this can clause depression. My problem is that I always treat myself to something after weigh in so this tends to give me a sugar hit and means I have to start the withdrawal process again.
does anyone have any tips to beat sugar withdrawal and is the best option to simply not have a treat after weigh in so that I don’t have to start the cycle again each week?

I think you should speak to your GP as one sweet treat should not be making you 'withdraw' from sugar, perhaps it's something else?

I am exactly the same, been doing SW for 4 months now and lost over 3 stone, like you I don’t like using my syns on sweet stuff and like you I get sugar cravings. Although I didn’t feel after the first few days I had anything I would consider to be a withdrawal symptom. Fruit is our go to after a meal try to avoid pineapple and mango as they have very high sugar content albeit natural it’s still sugar. We have it with low fat sugar free yogurt and this helps a lot to keep cravings at bay. One thing I do have is Judes Caramel Sauce which believe it or not is only two and half syns per table spoon, (this is ridiculous to me as it is so sweet it should be 100 syns but I’ve double checked). It’s so thick you can thin it down by half with water and use one tablespoon full to pour over fruit just to give an extra kick of flavour / sweetness and all for one and a quarter syns trust me it’s worth it.
