Self sabotage ?

I am currently 1.5lbs from target

In the last 6 weeks I have lost 1/2 gained 1 lost 1 gained a 1/2 and so on

Been as close as 1/2 lb and still keep messing up .. definitely going over syns almost on purpose ?

So determined to get that 1.5 lbs and therefore target this week but wondered why I keep doing this to myself ?

Anyone else so close and yet not allowing that final celebration or have any final tips for getting to goal and staying there ?

Do a speed week, or change goal

I was stuck , could not get the last 4lb I needed for my "target", I was getting miserable and disheartened so I called it, said its obvious my body has decided that what I wanted was too low, and called target, two weeks later the 4lb went lol.

Ive been at target for over a year now. Maintaining isnt easy for me tbh, if I dont go every week it starts creeping back on. Mostly I keep to what Ive done for weight loss for 4/5 days a week, and relax it for a couple of days,

This week Im on a speed week as Im top of target ( just back from holidays where loads of wine and bread taken ) , its not so hard as when I say speed, Im not evangelical. For me a speed week is no booze, and tend to stick to a veg based diet - I have a big pot of dhal and an aubergine curry made, a pot of soup and a pot of yoghurt ( I make my own fat free yoghurt ) and piles of fruit - fresh and frozen - and resisting the cake and biscuits that are in the house. I tend to loose between 2 and 3lb after five days of that. When I followed the plan Id rarely lose more then a pound a week

Everybody's bodies are different. But I know most of the members of my group have had to go to speed to get those last few pounds.

I think you are right , I've done a couple of speed weeks and had good losses
Maybe alternate days speed till my weigh in
It's just so frustrating ☹️
God knows how I'm going to navigate maintaining at target
