Disgusted with myself!

So I joined SW today for the LAST TIME and was horrified to learn I'm 15 stone 13.5lbs. When I met my husband 7 years ago I was 11 stone 4lbs! Omg! Granted I've had 2 big babies since then but I'm still horrified! I can't snap out of this vile mood it's put me in 😫

Hey, snap out of it boymama82 😀

I'm sorry you're feeling this way. Being harsh to yourself is not going to help, it'll just make you feel miserable and more likely to comfort eat. I know it's easier said than done but really you need to be kind to yourself.

Being a bit heavier than you want to be can be dealt with and you've started that step. Yay! (If it takes a while, it's not the end of the world.)

Being a bit heavier does not make you a bad person and disgust is not an appropriate response. You are a beautiful, flawed human being. Yay!

You've brought two beautiful babies into this world. Yay! and Yay!

I hope this isn't unhelpful. I just thought your post sounded so down on yourself and I felt sad about that, so I'm sending you some happy vibes.

This is why I don’t weigh myself! You can be feeling like you’re on plan and doing well etc and then the scales say something else!

good luck!

Being lighter or heavier isn't a measure of your worth as a person. Its one thing to want to get trimmer and healthier, but if you are actually feeling shame and disgust because you arent as small as you used to be, thats not helpful to you, nor is it treating yourself with kindness.

I reiterate @EveryDayFruity words.

Acknowledge that feeling and move on (which you have)

Good luck!

Dont think theres anyone of us who havent stepped on those scales at SW for the first time and had a gunk. We KNOW we have pilled it on, its what gets us in the door at SW, but to be confronted with the truth is hard

But be kind to yourself. You want to make the changes and have started the journey, thats just fantastic in itself xx
