Getting fed up! I've been on plan 100 percent, hardly hav my sins, and I aim for 10-15,000 steps every single day. I've be n doing this for seven weeks and only lost 11 lbs! And I have a lot to lose.. I'm trying so hard and seeing tiny results. My first week I lost 5.5lb, and I hen I've had weeks where I've maintained.ornlost a lb-2lb.. I've even started calorie counting along side.it to see where I'm going wrong. Some days I'm having 1,200-1,400 kcals and I'm just not losing much. What's going on!!
Start weight on 6th Jan was 19st 2.5
My weight this week is 18st 5.5

And breathe

11lbs in 7 weeks id be happy with tbh, mine has been a 1/2lb loss most weeks and believe me, I walk between 7 and 12 miles a day

Just imagine if you hadnt been doing SW you would still be at your original weight, or have added to it, so straight away thats a win

First week is always a big loss for the majoriety of people , then it settles to around a pound. You have to have a calorie deficit of 3500 to lose a pound of fat

Dont be calorie counting and doing SW, it will fry your head, do one or the other and if you are going to choose calorie counting, find out how many calories you actually need in a day to get that 1-2lb a week loss

Re read your books and fill in a food diary for a week. If you bite it - write it. And measure your HEA and HEB. Its all too easy to think yep, I know all that, and then find out that something you thought was free wasnt or that your cereal is actually twice or three times the measure of a HEB and needs to be syn'd

Im pretty lax for two days a week ( weekends) but then I do three speed days a week to keep my weight loss going - Im a few pound off target and really finding it slow now. Make sure you are eating enough, dont be skipping meals.

I only lose when I have mostly speed food and protein for my meals. I can't trust myself with bread so don't have it, and only have tiny amounts of pasta and potato.

At group they say to make sure you're checking your syns all the time, there are a lot of things that we think are ok but they're not.
Another thing that might hinder you is hormones, I'm peri meno and its def harder now than ever before.
You also have to look at the bigger picture, you're only 5lbs to the next stone bracket, look at smaller goals and eventually by the end of this year you will be in a great place, just taking it bit by bit.
I've lost 11.5lbs since joining after Xmas and I'm delighted with it because I really felt that my weight was only going in one direction at this stage of my life, I'm so pleased that its going in the right direction, even if it seems painfully slow.
Just to add that at group, some people have really high losses some weeks even after doing it for ages, so stick with it, you will get there.

If you lose 1lb a week that's over 4st a year. You won't look back in December if you're 4st lighter and be disappointed with how long it took, you'll just be glad to be 4st lighter. It takes as long as it takes and the time will pass anyway.

I started middle of July 2023 and I've lost 23lbs. Others might think that's slow but I don't care - it's gone, that's what I care about.
