Joining with a healthy weight/bmi

I have recently put some weight back on, after dieting by myself. But I've been thinking whether to join a group for some support etc. I'm 5ft6 and currently 10st 6. I did get down to 9st by myself but haven't maintained.

Have you joined SW with a healthy weight and not much weight to lose?

I did - but only yesterday so don't have much advice!

I'm a healthy BMI but at the top end. I have half a stone to lose to be in my 'happy place'.

I have to say I was really worried about going in as I'm conscious people have more to lose than that, but I was made so very welcome by the group leader. She was brilliant.

I'm signed up for 12 weeks. I'd have gone for 6, and I hope to be at my target then tbh, but that's the end of my holiday so I wanted a buffer in case I put it all back on whilst away!

@Doje did they accept you? Or did they have a minimum joining weight ?

I was just thinking more for the support of other slimmers. I've never joined SW or any diet plan. So it would all be new to me too.

The only reason I'm asking, is because I haven't got a lot to lose. I'm guessing those who aren't at their target weights (say a few pounds over) rejoin ?

Yeah, they accepted me. I think they'll take anyone's money! 😅

They might have words if you were underweight but otherwise I can't see a problem.

What's your BMI / how much do you have to lose?

5ft6 10st6. Want to get back to 9stone. Or until all my smaller clothes fit haha Grin

That's similar to me. I'm a similar weight to you but a bit taller. I'm aiming to lose half a stone just to feel a little better in myself.

Ahh ok. So maybe I could join. Good luck with it. Hope you achieve!!

I'm a SW member. So in order to joing your target weight needs to be within a healthy range. So if your target weight puts you below this ( underweight) then it won't be allowed.

@Doje I've still not plucked up the courage to attend a group...
