Not syning

So I don't syn drinks, never have. My consultant wants me to start but I've been at target for 3 years without syning. I mean all drinks so cold coffees, cokes, wine, cider etc.

My question is what don't you syn that your meant to but it hasn't effected your loss?

I have a tiny splash of milk in my tea, I don't syn it and I prob have 8+ cups a day 🤷🏻‍♀️

Same, I also don't syn the sugar in the tea/ coffee

Oil for cooking. Never used frylight, never synned the oil, just used it sparingly.

I use rapeseed oil for cooking, don't measure my milk, don't syn oats so simple (not a heb) avocado or flavoured fat free yoghurt. I lost 2 stone doing that last time round, so don't feel the need to this time.

I’m breastfeeding so can have FIVE healthy extras a day 😂😂 I don’t bother measuring cheese / milk because that is a hell of a lot to have a day I don’t think I even come close..

I also have one dolce gusto coffee pod that’s apparently 3.5 syns a day but I don’t bother counting that

I dont syn sweeteners as it used to be free (I lost over 3 st). Now rejoined to get my half a stone covid weight and an additional 1.5 to target off.
When I did it the first time Phillie light was also a hea, it's now not but I still use it as one, I dont syn it.
I do syn vodka thou, although I use alot of my syns for the weekend, which you arent supposed to. I have a drink at the weekend, weigh in Saturday so works well, then I eat syn free during the week. I want to be able to have a drink once a week and not eat daily treats once I'm at target so this is creating that habit for me. Although I get a fair bit of stick for it on my fb group lol.

I've done slimming world a few times to lose weight and it always works well for me but I always give up after about 6 weeks as I hate a lot of the substitutes and crave the real thing. This time I'm using the real thing in the hope that I'll stick to the main principles longer.

I use olive oil for cooking as I don't like the way fry oil makes everything brown and mushy
i don't measure milk but limit myself to only 4 or 4 cups of tea a day
I use avocado as a healthy extra B
i use full fat Greek yog (sparingly) as again I don't like the fat free versions

I am however sticking to the main principles of lean protein, lots of fruit and vegetables, lots of water and sticking to only one Healthy B choice per day. I am also synning everything else which is keeping me away from a lot of junk. I hope my approach works as I think it's more sustainable for me long term.

Including an honest appraisal of whether the non syn rules slip back in.

I'm not really tracking at all at the moment. No idea on sun intake, no measuring milk or cheese, having two bread slices instead of one and it's not strictly HEB bread, the fruit veg and salad is not really happening.

A LOT has to change with my habits.

First weekly weigh in here and I've lost...... nothing! Did have a lot to eat at a coronation party Saturday and bank holiday bbq today though so I suppose to be expected! Back on plan today though. Lots of salads planned for this week!

Sorry you didn't get a loss. What did your leader say? How was your week aside from the coronation food?
