Does anyone calorie count as well as follower SW?

New member and usually a calorie counter.

Not sure I can trust the plan to lose weight without counting calories.

It seems a lot of faff to try to follow SW and also count calories when I may not need to.

Does anyone else? Or if you have in the past did it change any of your SW eating habits?

For example pasta and rice is free but can be high calories if you have a lot, so would you weigh it just to keep a check?

When you eat pasta and rice it's supposed to be part of a meal that also contains a third veg/salad plus a protein component. Plus you're supposed to eat until you're just full, not stuffed to the gills.

Both these are vital parts of the plan and naturally limit the amount of pasta or rice that you eat. Look at some pictures of official SW meals (not weird combos invented by members to try and game the system) to see what I mean.

Tbh I'm stuffed to the gills and have still lost 4 kilos in 3 weeks but definitely do the thirds thing.

I would go by the recommended portion on the pasta or rice. Try it for a while before calorie counting if it doesn't work for you.

Follow SW as it's laid out, don't introduce other plans. It's pretty amazing what you can eat, very easy to follow and adapt to family cooking. It's the first time I've dieted and not felt deprived at all and I honestly think I could keep going with it which I've never felt before.
