Free Microwave Meals

Hi. A bit of a specific thread title I know 🤣. I've just started SW (yet again!) I only prepare meals for me and, if I can possibly avoid it, I don't do cooking - just heating stuff up or microwaving. I'm fine for breakfast/lunch, but I'd really appreciate it if anyone could suggest any ideas for dinner. So far, I've got: baked beans with jacket potato, chickpeas with noodles.
I thought there used to be a book of free branded SW products but I can't find it now.
Thank you Smile

SW have a range of free convenience foods at Iceland. I’ve tried a couple of them and was really impressed.

If you get the SW app you can search for products or scan barcodes and it will tell you if it's free or how many syns it has. I think since that came in they've stopped producing the book.

@AppleTreeFruit @chesterelly1

Thanks guys. I have the app. It's just ideas I need I think. I'll go to Iceland 👍

Can you batch cook?

Three bean chilli
Pulled pork
Campfire stew
Fajita chicken
Risotto

All can be batch cooked and put in individual containers , frozen and then reheated at a later date

@sunnyside238
Well I can try 🤣. I guess I'll have to. I think I'm just very lazy when it comes to food. I wait til I'm hungry and then want to eat within the next 5 mins.

@chesterelly1 which SW ready meals were nice please?

@LadyJaneGreyness all of those meals you just chuck in the slow cooker (other than risotto) so easy. Would save you so much money too!

LadyJaneGreyness · 19/07/2022 16:58

Thanks for those suggestions. Needless to say I don't have a slow cooker 🤣 I really really don't cook but perhaps I need to start. It just all seems like so much effort when I could just cook something in the microwave. 5 minutes and im done.

The Iceland SW ready meals are brilliant. Really tasty and very good size portions. We love the pasta with meatballs, the chilli, chicken curry and sweet chilli salmon in particular. Oh and their burgers are amazing. Have had very few that we didn’t like.

LadyJaneGreyness · 20/07/2022 13:17

@Whatapickle21 Brilliant! Thank you. I'll go and get some

Out of the Iceland meals I prefer the curries. The lasagne is not too bad. They are bigger than a lot of ready meals so you're not hungry 5 minutes later. I also like some of the M&S count on us meals, just stand and scan them & decide if you're happy "spending" that many syns, prep veg or salad to have on the side.

LadyJaneGreyness · 24/07/2022 23:22

Thank you @chesterelly1 I've bought some of the SW world ones 😊
