Feeling disheartened

Hello,

Long story short, I've done SW a number of times and always given up!
This time I'm determined to carry on but I'm doing on my own at home (I really know the plan well) anyway week 1 was a great success losing a massive 6lb but week 2 I only lost 1lb! I know overall that's a good weight loss in 2 week but I really feel like I should of lost more in week 2. I really have not gone off plan, only had a max of 5 syns etc.
So I'm wondering if SW will actually work for me or if I should try calorie counting instead?
What would you do?

Give it more than 2 weeks.

Often after a really big loss a smaller on follows. Particularly at the start of the plan.

I'd also try to get to meetings. It will help give you some accountability.

I do it alone at home and progress has been slow BUT I'm now a stone lighter than I was at the start of the year - if I'd have not bothered and carried on eating without sticking to plan 90% of the time there's no doubt I'd be a dress size larger! Keep it up 8lbs in 2 weeks is AMAZING and you can't expect that sort of big loss every week. 1-2lbs a week is a nice steady loss that is more sustainable in the long term.
Keep at it Smile

Well done!
Keep going. I’m doing 16:8. Bloody hell it’s hard.
I’m 54 and the weight is stubborn. I’m not giving up though. We can do this Smile

Half a stone in 2w is fab

Rem a lb a week is 4 stone a year

@blueflavour we can! I'm determined to not give up this time! I must of started and stopped 10 times...I'm fed up and been uncomfortable in my clothes. The thing that tipped me over the edge this time was trying on my spring and summer clothes and nothing fitting...we can do this!

@Userss88 same Smile like so many people I snacked my way through lockdown, and still haven’t shifted it. You’ve got to be in the right mindset. I just seriously cba to buy new clothes and can’t afford to anyway, so that’s that.
Best of luck to you, keep going Smile
