Hi all. I’ve recently had a baby and have 1 stone 11lb to lose. I only started last week and my motivation is already waning. Does anyone want a slimming world buddy?

I had a baby in July and I’ve got 3 stone to lose! I didn’t actually gain weight this pregnancy as I did SW, the weight was from my first
I’ve just had a fresh start this week and aiming to lose 3lbs before weigh in on Wednesday.

That sounds very similar to me! I only gained 8lb with baby #3 and the rest is left over from my second 😖
I haven’t exactly stuck to the plan the last couple of days so I’ll get back on it and weigh in with you on Wednesday 🙂

I had a baby last September and would like to lose 2 stone. I lost 2 stone in 2019 for my wedding and have gained it all back again! Hoping to lose quite a bit pre Christmas binge!

Hi all,
Joining the thread with a 9 month old baby and 2.5 stones of chub to shift!
I lost 6.5lbs in week 1 - I worked so bloody hard.
It's very challenging trying to stay on track but I'm making the effort to walk as much as I can every day and get on the bike at least twice a week.
Melon has been my lifeline. I cannot get enough of it! I have it with 2 slices of Parma ham and it's such a treat. Really fills me up.

Well done @MrsSith!!! What a great start! I’m doing much better so far this week (last week involved takeaway pizza and cake!) but the weekend is my downfall so I’m hoping I can stick at it. I’ve noticed that if I start to go off track, it’s always between meals so I’ve decided to try not to snack and so far, it’s working quite well. It certainly stops me from picking at my eldest two’s dinner (I have three under five, the littlest still being quite newborn). Wouldn’t it be great if we could all shift a good amount by the end of the year!!!

Can I join in, been on slimming world for 3 weeks now. Wanting to loose 1.5 stone.
Got my 1/2 stone badge yesterday but only lost 1 pound, made me a little disappointed really as I lost 4 in week 1.
I feel I’m wavering and need a bit of motivation.
Has anyone got any target dates for their weight loss?

That's an average of over 2lbs per week which is a great and healthy pace.
Any tips? What's working well for you?
@Jellington thank you! It's all about staying motivated which is so hard, I keep a slimmer photo of myself (when ironically I used to think I was fat in the photo!) And use this to remind myself of my why.

Thank you @MrsSith sometimes I think I just have too high expectations I know your right.
My diet was pretty bad before loads of takeaways working shifts getting home late and just grabbing crisps or whatever was to hand really.

@Parkermumma07 that’s still brilliant! Any loss is one step closer! My weight varies a lot depending on how bloated I am anyway- you might find you lose more than you expect next week.
My husband wants to have some work colleagues to stay in January so I’d really like to have lost it by then!!! It would be amazing to feel like I look good in my clothes. Additionally, having had two babies in the last two years, I haven’t bought new clothes for ages! So that’s motivational too I guess. I don’t want to buy them at this size because I still want to slim down.
@MrsSith I know what you mean about the thinking you look fat previously and now wishing you looked like that 😂 I’m right there with you!

Well done! If I’d have been away it would have been +1.5 (at least!).
I’m doing ok this week but last week I found it really hard to stick to. Apparently fresh pasta is free from today on slimming world though so that’s nice!

I’m weighing in on Thursday I’m praying for 2lb off this week.
I think I need to cut out drinking full stop I use my sins on wine. Have quite a stressful job but I feels it’s going to be a barrier for me trying to loose weight so need to just cut it out really

@Parkermumma07 I know that feeling. I’m bfing atm so I’m limited but usually I use all my syns on wine. My downfall at the moment is crisps. Today I caved and ate an entire sharing packet 🤦🏽♀️ Hoping I’ve still lost something come weds!!!

-5lb 🎉 honestly delighted! I don’t think I’ve ever lost that much in a week! Clearly not snacking/limiting snacks and making sure I have the odd treat is the way to go for me. I’ve decided I’d like to lose another 1 stone 5lb now. This week is going to be tricky because it’s my eldest’s birthday and party but I will try my best!

Weigh in day today and I know I'm chasing a gain I had so many events last week and it completely stopped counting syns from Friday - Sunday.
I am tempted to skip group entirely.

@MrsSith I might be right there with you next week. I’ve already eaten loads of things I shouldn’t have today (it’s my eldest’s birthday and it’s only lunch time!).
Best to go anyway though, write it off as a bad week and start again tomorrow.

Well done @Jellington that is absolutely fantastic. I’m getting weighed in the morning! I’m working lates tonight and have just had a takeaway! I tried to be good and had grilled chicken breasts ✅ but then had chips with it ❌ so will see what tomorrow brings.

Wow @Jellington that's absolutely amazing! Nearly half a stone gone!
I weighed in this morning and lost 2lb 12 oz which I'm really happy with Glad to be over that first week and settling into a rhythm now. The first couple of days I felt bloody ravenous!
