There’s a lovely chilli beef noodles recipe on the pinch of nom website
SchrodingersImmigrant · 01/10/2020 17:46
I do crispy duck. Rub in 5 spice, put in a slowcooker. When done, crisp up in the oven. Serve with hoison, rice pancakes, cucumber and spring onion.
It really depends what you are looking for. Fake doner or chinese, or curry.

I apologise😂 The screen moved thanks to the add. I thought I am in a different section. I don't know if that is SW friendly.
iklboo · 01/10/2020 17:56
@SchrodingersImmigrant - probably not but I'm nicking that recipe for weekend!
SchrodingersImmigrant · 01/10/2020 20:50
It's really good🙈 Rub the five spice in from inside and outside. It will let out loads of fat. When it coming off the bones, it's done and just needs crispying up. Whole duck is about £7. You get duck (4 portions approx) AND the fat for cooking later (delicious in egg fried rice to add extra flavour. Good value.
ColleagueFromMars · 02/10/2020 11:53
@SchrodingersImmigrant realistically there's no way a duck effectively basted in fat throughout its cooking is syn free or even low syn surely? X
iklboo · 02/10/2020 12:30
@ColleagueFromMars - no, @SchrodingersImmigrant has said she didn't see the thread was about SW means. I'm still nicking the recipe
SchrodingersImmigrant · 02/10/2020 13:27
Yeah. I am sorry. The ad on a top made my screen jump and I accidentally clicked on SW. I did wonder how come the other section has suddenly so many sw threads. My apologies.
ColleagueFromMars · 03/10/2020 10:05
How did I miss that 🤷♀️ sorry
