My fry light is giving off a burnt smell. I think it’s to do with oven temp...... what’s the highest you would go to make slimming world chips ?

I usually do mine at about 200 degrees but it's fan so would be 220 for a regular oven! Can't say I've ever noticed a burning smell other than when I've burnt the chips Grin

Thank you how odd. I don’t have it anywhere near that high and still it smells. I make Sw chips at work as they’re the thing that keep me for careening off into a syn spiral but my boss has complained that something smells burned and it’s stinking out the house! X

I use olive oil spray ( around 7 sprays for half a syn).
I think Frylight ruins pans.

all all aglow interesting, what the olive oil spray? is it literally just olive oil in a bottle with spray?

I have a friend who quit sw as she could not stomach eating with fri light after seeing what it did to her baking trays and pans!

I just use Asda's own brand olive oil spray: yes, it's just olive oil in a fine spray atomiser-type bottle.

thank you, i think i know what you mean. will have a look next time i go food shopping. i can see how that will reduce the amount of oil used

omg same! It proper sticks to trays and pans doesn't it! You can always reuse the frylight bottles and put normal oil in them and then use that to measure how many sprays of oil you are using.
