Do I have any chance of losing?

Hi everybody.

I have gained around 3 stone in a year due to medication. I have bipolar and I take medication that causes serious weight gain ~ and I have an under active thyroid. It feels like no matter what I do, I don't lose weight and honestly it adds to my misery daily.

Would slimming world work for medication based weight gain? I'm really stuck, don't know what else to do, just want to lose this weight. Coming off of the medication isn't an option 😩

Thank you

Sorry I haven't been in your situation so I can't say for certain, but it might be worth a try. It encourages eating whole foods so is a pretty healthy approach anyway.

If you speak to your GP they might even be able to refer you for 3 free months at SW.

I am not sure about your situation, you should talk to your doctor really. Maybe it's real to change your medication to another. But I am sure you will have proper nutrition and exercise regularly that will be better for your health and you won't gain so much.
